The story
Issued for Israel's 26th Independence Day in 1974, this silver 10 lirot marks the revival of the Hebrew language. One side shows a scroll beside lines of Hebrew words; the other carries the emblem of the State.
It is still in its red presentation case with the original certificate: 37 mm, 26 g of .900 silver, one of 50,000 struck at the Government Mint in Jerusalem.
